Weeve

Terms of use

Last updated 28 October 2026. These terms cover the Weeve browser extension and the Weeve web app. By installing or using Weeve, you agree to them.

Free to use

Weeve is free for personal and educational use, with no ads and no paid tier. Weeve may add optional paid features or voluntary donations later. Anything that was free when you started using it stays usable without paying.

What you may and may not do

You may install and use Weeve, and share links to it.

You may not copy, modify, decompile, redistribute or resell the extension or the web app, or use them to build a competing product, except as the law allows regardless of these terms. The word lists are the exception: they are published under CC BY-SA 4.0, and you may reuse them under that licence. Weeve also includes third-party software under its own licences.

Don't misuse optional accounts: no automated sign-ups, no attempts to reach other people's data, and no abuse of the feedback features.

Your content

You keep the words you save and the suggestions you send. By sending a correction or language suggestion, you let Weeve use it to improve the word lists, which are published under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Accuracy

The word lists, translations, pronunciations and grammar forms are there to help you learn, and may contain mistakes. Optional AI weaving uses third-party or self-hosted models that Weeve doesn't control, and its output may be wrong.

No warranty

Weeve is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Weeve.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. You can stop using one at any time and ask for it to be deleted, and Weeve may suspend accounts that break these terms. How Weeve handles your data is set out in the privacy policy.

Changes and contact

These terms may change, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, the app will say so before it takes effect. Questions: send feedback.
